Cabergoline is a medication that treats high levels of prolactin in your blood. Prolactin is a hormone that's responsible for lactation, certain breast tissue development and milk production. Does Dostinex cure hormonal imbalance?
Cabergoline is used to treat a hormone imbalance in which there is too much prolactin in the blood (also called hyperprolactinemia). Cabergoline may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
What to avoid when taking Dostinex?
You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with cabergoline. Do not use more than the recommended dose of cabergoline, and avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medication affects you.
